Pick the days
that lean your way
For centuries, Chinese families have checked the almanac before a wedding, a move, or the opening of a shop — choosing a day that leans in their favor instead of against it.
Madeshed brings that same instinct to your biggest financial decisions. Not with superstition — with a daily index you can test against your own track record.
The old habit of picking an auspicious day
"Best days to invest" is a modern phrasing of a very old idea. In the Chinese tradition, you don't launch something that matters on a random day — you look for a window that carries less friction. Weddings, business openings, long journeys: all timed.
The instinct is sound. The mistake is treating it as fate. A calendar can't promise an outcome. What it can do is help you schedule your high-conviction moves onto windows that have, for you specifically, tended to go more smoothly — and let your own results confirm or reject the pattern.
What BaZi investment timing actually is
Your BaZi, or Four Pillars, is the set of Chinese sexagenary characters fixed at your birth: year, month, day, and hour. Four Pillars timing looks at the relationship between that fixed chart and the pillar of each passing day.
Madeshed turns that relationship into a single daily action index from 5 to 100, plus a 30-day distribution so you can see the shape of the month ahead. A higher score marks a window that has historically been steadier for you; a lower one flags a day to keep your size and your ego small.
It is a scheduling aid, framed as a tendency — never a forecast. Whether the pattern is real for you is decided by your data, not by us.
How it works — three steps, under a minute a day
Generate and save your chart
Enter your birth date, time, and city. The system applies true solar time correction (longitude, daylight saving, equation of time) — a step many free tools skip. You build your chart once; it powers the whole site.
Log honestly, every day
Record the real outcome: win / flat / loss, and the size of it. Mark the days you didn't act, too. Honesty is the only requirement — a flattered log produces patterns that are useless to you.
Read your backtest after 30–90 days
Once the sample is large enough, the system groups your own records: on high-index days versus low-index days, what were your win rate, average P&L, and worst drawdown? A difference is a difference; no difference is also an answer.
What you see every day
A 5–100 action index — and exactly how it was built. Not a black-box number.
And the distribution for the next 30 days, so you can plan ahead — placing your heavier, high-conviction decisions on the windows where your own history has been calmer, instead of landing on them at random.
What it explicitly does not do
These four are built into the product, not legal boilerplate
- It does not predict prices. It has no view on any market or asset, and never tells you what to buy or sell.
- A green day is not "go all-in" or "add leverage." A high index only marks a smoother window; position size still follows your own risk rules.
- It does not replace stop-losses or money management. It is a tie-breaker, not a safety net.
- It draws no conclusion on a thin sample. Under ~30 days of data means no signal, and the app will say so plainly.
If any tool claims it can raise your returns, be skeptical. Madeshed claims only one thing: it can help you see your own behavior pattern. The rest still rides on your strategy and your discipline.
Who it's for
✓ A good fit
- You already have a trading system; what you lack is execution discipline
- You know you act on emotion and want to find the triggers
- You'll spend a minute a day logging honestly
- You can accept "my data doesn't support this"
✗ Not a fit
- You want buy/sell signals or stock picks
- You expect a higher win rate without changing behavior
- You won't record your losses truthfully
- You want it to replace risk control and stop-losses
Why it's worth trying
The cost is a minute a day and a month or two of patience.
The payoff is something no one else can hand you — a timing map of your own trading rhythm. Not generic advice, not "here's what trend traders should do," but a statistical read of you, drawn from your real records.
Even if the verdict is "no meaningful difference," you still gain something worth having: one variable ruled out, and two months of a strict, honest trading log.

Frequently asked questions
Does BaZi investment timing predict the stock market?
No. Madeshed has no view on any market, price, or asset. It does not forecast prices and never recommends what to buy or sell. It only scores how your own historical behavior and results have tended to look on a given day, so you can schedule high-conviction decisions for reference.
Are "lucky days to invest" a guarantee of profit?
No. Nothing here is guaranteed. The index describes a tendency or likelihood based on your own logged data — not a promise. A higher-scoring day is a steadier window for you historically, not a signal that any trade will win. Investing involves risk.
How is this different from a generic horoscope or Chinese astrology reading?
A generic reading gives the same text to everyone born on a date. Madeshed uses your exact Four Pillars, corrected to true solar time, and then validates any pattern against your own logged results over 30–90 days. If your data shows no real difference, the app tells you so.
How many days of data do I need before it means anything?
Usually 30 to 90 days of honest daily logging. Below about 30 days the sample is too small to be meaningful, and the app will report the sample as insufficient rather than show a conclusion.
Do I need my exact birth time?
Ideally to the hour. The app applies true solar time correction (longitude, daylight saving, equation of time) so your chart reflects the real sky at your birth, not just clock time. You can start with an approximate time and refine it later.
Is this investment advice?
No. Madeshed is a decision-support and self-tracking tool, not investment advice and not a licensed advisory service. Every trade and its outcome is your own responsibility. Consider consulting a licensed professional before major financial decisions.
